Why should you avoid buying cheap activated carbon filters?

Multiply the length, width and height to get the cubic meter volume. Then multiply the figure you get by 20 or 30. The figure you get is the correct size of fan you need to use to facilitate air exchanges up to 20 or 30 times per hour (the recommended number; other factors may come in to play)
To allow for adequate ventilation, we recommend getting a fan that’s slightly above the figure you calculated. You also gotta factor in a 10–25% decrease in air flow caused by the resistance of transiting through the carbon filter chamber.
