Each system holds 96 American made, full spectrum (3000k) white LEDs — using just 525 watts versus the typical HPS 1000 watt fixture. NextLight’s unique makeup also means that it emits 75% less heat than a typical 1000 watt HPS. This puts significantly less load on the cooling system resulting in less power consumption, cutting electric costs, and extending its life.
Thermal Design
Extensive thermal design has determined the most efficient way to run the LEDs at very high current. Throughout its life, the LEDs are driven at a higher current, creating a more intense point source and leading to better canopy penetration.
